General Information
Scope
The Conference "Micro- to Nano-Photonics III - ROMOPTO 2012" is an international scientific event dedicated to optics and lasers, held in Romania. The purpose of this Conference is to provide a good opportunity for experts working in optics and lasers to share experience, to discuss the latest results, to stimulate interdisciplinary exchanges and to consider the prospects of applications. The Conference will also provide the opportunity for round table discussions on special cross discipli-nary issues.
Language
English will be the official language of the Conference.

A special session will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first gas LASER created in Romania.
Another special session will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Nonlinear Optics.
Elaboration of contributions
Contributions containing original results, not previously published, will be selected.
The Programme Committee will schedule both oral presentation and poster sessions.
Authors are kindly requested to submit two copies of both 100 words abstract and a two pages summary (A4 format with 2.5 cm margins). The paper should be headed by title, authors, affiliation and address (including e-mail address, if possible). Electronic submission is encouraged.
The two pages summary and the extended manuscripts will be refereed. For the accepted papers, the abstract will be published in the Preliminary Programme of the Conference.

Presentation
The Conference will combine:
invited presentations in plenary sessions on topics of general interest [1 hour] ;
specialised parallel sessions devoted to each of the key topics with invited [30 minutes] and contributed [15 minutes] oral presentations;
poster sessions. The recommended poster size is 841 x 1189 mm (A0 format).
Meeting Venue
The Conference will be hosted by the Romanian Academy.
Direct flights to Bucharest are available from important cities from Europe and transport from Bucharest Airport "Henri Coanda" downtown can be arranged by the organizers.

The Conference registration fee includes: admission to all sessions, the Conference Programme, the Abstracts of Contributions, the participation in the welcome reception and the collegial dinner.
